FIRST QUALIFYING BOUND. ' (Received 0.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 27. As the result of long driving and_ fine putting, Ferrier returned a score of 72 in the first qualifying round of the Scottish amateur championship, which is being played at Carnoustie. Hector Thomson, holder of the championship, and Jack McLean (1932-3-4 winner) share the lead, with 71.
