PRESENTATIONS.

The railway staff at Papakura mot during the week-end to farewell Mr. R, Campbell, who is leaving the Papakura station, having been transferred to Christchurch. Mr. R. Woarth, in making a presentation of a suitably inscribed wristlet watch to Mr. Campbell, said lie hoped the watch would remind him of many friendships formed during his five years in Papakura, and congratulated him on his appointment to Christchurch. Messrs. Rushton and Lowe also spoke in eulogistic terms of Mr. Campbell.

After the Manureiva Town Band Anzno Day memorial services yesterday, bandsmen assembled in the theatre while a presentation was made to Bandsman Swann, who is leaving Manurewa to reside in Otahu.hu. The conductor, in making the presentation on behalf of band members, said that this young plaj'er had set up a standard of unselfish service for the good of the band which would be hard to beat, and was worthy of emulation by members generally. His help so willingly accorded in the many little jobs constantly occurring in band work, and often left to the band master to see to or do, was fully appreciated. He wished the recipient every success in his new home. Bandsman Swann suitably replied, thanking members for their kindly act.
