MANGATAWHIRI SUB-UNION

Tlic annual meeting of tlio Mangatawhiri Rugby Sub-union was held on Wednesday evening, the president, Mr. C. C. Leathern, presiding over a large attendance. The balance-sheet showed the sub-union to be in a very healthy condition, there being a credit balance of £103. The opening of the season was set down for May 2 with a seven-a-side tournament. Four teams will take part in the competitions. Officers elected: —Patron, Mr. b. J. McUroy; president, Mr. C. C. Leathern; vicepresidents, Messrs. J. Dean (I'okeno), E. B Morey (.Mercer), G. W. Chipman (Manga ta'ngi), B. Dennehy »Kaiaua), S. 1' Pendergrast (Mangatawhiri), 11. l'indlay (Maramarua) ; secretary, Mr. C. Halford ; senior selector, Mr. S. Belcher; auditor. Mr. R. J. Patton; delegates to South Auckland Union, Messrs. C. C. Leathern and S. Belcher; emergency committee, Messrs. C*. C. Leathern, C. Halford, W. McAuulty and S. Belcher.
