DR. GOEBBELS' "IF."
How Germany Lost Her Colonial Possessions. HITLER'S ELECTION FINALE. (Received 10 a.m.) BERLIN, March 24. Dr. Goebbels, Minister of Propaganda, speaking at Frankfort, declared that Britain grabbed colonies while Germany was in the throes of the 30 years' war. If a man like Herr Hitler had arisen in Germany in 1618 Germans would have been masters of the world and would have owned the great colonies at present held by Britain. Herr Hitler's election campaign will be wound up on Saturday with a spectacular meeting at Cologne, after which will be sung the thanksgiving hymn ending, "Lord make us free." The meeting will be -broadcast throughout the country, then every church bell will peal for 15 minutes. An order has been issued that every building in Germany must display a flag on Friday in obedience to a wireless signal.
COMMONS' VIEW.
POSSIBILITY OF DEBATE,
British Official Wireless. (Received 1 p.m.)
RUGBY, March 24.
Although feeling in the House of Commons favours an early debate on the international situation, all parties show a desire to avoid premature discussion.
Newspapers, reflecting lobby opinion, state that the suggestion of introducing an international force in German terntory only, is criticised among supporters of the Government, while Opposition speakers in the debate will probably fasten attention on the proposals for General Staff conversations with I ranee, Belgium and Italy.
