MOTOR CYCLE SPORTS.
AUCKLAND CLUB'S RACES. Tlie Auckland Motor Cycle Club held a successful meeting at Muriwai Beach on Sunday. The fastest times in the halfmile speed trials were registered by J. Mander (J.A.P.), who attained a speed of 93.75 miles an hour; N. Warry (Norton), !)2.78 m.p.h.; and H. Matthews (Rudge), DO m.p.h. Principal results were:— Eight Mile Open Handicap.—N. Warry (Norton) 1. J. Phillips (Douglas) 2, C. Buchanan (Velocette) 3.
Five Mile Open Handicap.—W. Moore (Rudgc) 1, L. McLaren (A.J.S.) 2, H. Matthews (Rudgc) 3.
Novice Handicap. —K. . Kcnnerley (Ariel) 1, I. Waugh (Norton) 2, W. Cronk- (Velocette) 3.
A club run will be held next Sunday. Members will leave at 10 a.m. for Mercer, where they will join forces with the Hamilton Motor Cycle Club and hold a number of sports events. A dance will be held on Thursday week to farewell Charlie Goldberg, who will represent New Zealand at the T.T. races on the Isle of Man.
