SILVER RING FOR AUSTRALIA
(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") TRENTHAM, Tuesday. Silver Ring will not fulfil hie engagement in the Awapuni Gold Cup this weok. He will be shipped to Sydney on Friday, under the care of his trainer, J. Stewart, while A. E. Ellis will go to do the riding Silver Ring will compete in the Chipping Norton Stakes at Warwick Farm, as a preliminary to the weight-for-age events at the Australian Jockey Club's Easter meeting. T. H Gillett will take Greek Shepherd on to the Manawatu meeting to contest the Awapuni Cup. Sir Charles Clifford's horses engaged at Awapuni will not make the trip. H. Cutts will take them home on Thursday night. F. D. Jones will go on from here to Awapuni. where Custos is engaged in the Sires' Produce Stakes.
