ARRIVALS IN BRITAIN. MARCH, APRIL AND MAY. The following estimated arrivals of New Zealand dairy produce in the United Kingdom during March, April and May, coinpared with actual arrivals in previous seasons, are compiled by Messrs. A. H. Turnbull, New Zealand representatives for Messrs. W. Weddel and Co., London: NEW ZEALAND BUTTER (In Tons).

MERCHANTS' CABLES. Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Company have received the following cable from their principals, Messrs. Trengrouse and Nathan, Tooley Street, dated March 17: — Butter: 82/ to 83/ per ewt. Slow. Cheese: White, 49/6; coloured, 51/6. Slow. Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co. (Messrs. W. Weddel and Co.):—Danish butter, 120/; New Zealand, salted, 83/; Australian, 83/. Market quiet. New Zealand cheese: White, 50/; coloured, 52/. Market easier. HIDES AND SKINS. GOOD SALE AT PARNELL. FIRST-CLASS COMPETITION. There was a full attendance of tanners, local and southern, fellmonjjers and shippers at yesterday's sale of hides, skins and tallow at the Parnell stores. Keen competition ruled for all classes of hides at values which were very firm on late rates. Dry and salted sheepskins improved, but tallow continued to ease. Following are quotations:— Sheepskins.—Dry: "Fine and medium crossbred, 9%d to 10' Ad per lb; coarse crossbred, 8d to 9%d; half to threequarter wool, 7%d to B%d; quarter to half wool, 7d to 79id; lambs, 83id to 109 id; .pelts, 5?4d to 7d. Salted: Best, 3/10 to 4/3 each; good, 3/6 to 3/9; medium, 2/6 to 3/4; lambs, 2/9 to 4/. Hides.—Abattoirs: Extra heavy ox, to B%d per lb; heavy, to B%d; medium, 7%d to B%d; light, 6%d to 7%d; extra heavy cow, to 6%d; heavy, to 6%d; medium, to 6%d; light, to 6%d; kips, to 6%d; yearlings, to Od; best calf, to 11 % cl; good, 10% dto ll'Ad. Country butchers: Extra heavy ox, to 8d per lb; heavy, to 8d; medium, 7%d to 7d; light, 5%d to 634 d; extra heavy cow, to 5%d; heavy, to 5%d; medium, to 5%d; light, to 5%d: kips, to 6d; yearlings, to 7%d; best calf, to IP/id; good, B%d to 10l4d; inferior and damaged calf, 4d to 7%d; inferior and damaged hides, 3%d to 4%d.
