MINOR CLUBS' ASSOCIATION.

The final round of the association's inter club matches was played last Saturday, Duu holme and Akapoa winning on games only. Transport, winners of the A grade, and Alderley, winners of the C grade, were visitors in their grades without a loss. Results

A Grade. —Transport beat Tiro Tiro by 14 rubbers to 4, Avalon beat Whitworth by 12 rubbers to 6, Dunholme beat Surrey by 110 games to 119 (0 rubbers all), Akapoa beat Islington by 12 games (0 rubbers all). '

Transport won 7 .matches, Akapoa and Dunholme 5, Islington 4. Avalon and Surrey 3, Tiro Tiro 1. Whitworth 0.

Sixth Grade.—Alderley beat Aval.on by 13 rubbers to 5, Welcome beat Whi/worth by default, Surrey beat Transport by default.

Alderley won C matches, Avalon and Surrey 4, Whitworth 3, Transport and Welcome 2, Akapoa 0.

PAPAKURA FINALS.

Finals played on Saturday at the Papakura Lawn Tennis Club :—

Ladies' Handicap Singles.—Miss Kemp (plus 15 3-6) beat Miss Muir (plus 3-6), 6—l, (i—o.

Ladies' Championship Singles.—Miss Wilson beat Mrs. Charles, 6—l, 6—o.

Girls' Handicap Singles.—Miss Kemp beat Miss H. Markwlck, 6—o, 6—l.

Men's Handicap Singles.—C. Stephens (owe 40 2-6) beat D. Beams (plus 5-6), o—3, 6—4.

Men's Championship Singles. — C, Stephens beat McDonald, 6—l, 6—4.

Mixed Handicap Doubles.—McLennan and Mrs. McLennan (plus 15 4-6) beat Geraghty and Mrs. Geraghty (plus 15 4-6), 6—5, 6—4.

Men's Handicap doubles.—Geraghty and Cooke (plus 2-6) beat Garlick and Wilson (owe 3-6), 6—3, 6—3.

ROTORUA ON TOP.

By defeating Walmana by 11 rubbers to 5 in the final of the Watt Cup lawn tennis competition, the Rotorua Tennis Club established its claim as the leading club In the Bay of rient.v;

Last week the club's A team won the Dimlop Shield from Wliakntane, and yesterday's victory In the Watt Cup competition Elves Rotorua tlie championship in both grades for the season. This Is the first occasion on which the Rotorua Club has won both trophies.
