DIPHTHERIA CAMPAIGN.

During 1935, diphtheria immunisation saved Brisbane City Council £1500 in hospital fees. Immunisation is carried out at State schools, and also at several City Council clinics throughout Brisbane. During the period since immunisation has been available free of charge, there has been a marked reduction in tho prevalence of diphtheria, and last year's hospital fees, plus the cost of immunisation in the city, was £1500 less than the annual total of hospital fees prior to the introduction of immunisation.
