PUKEKOHE HORSJE SALE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) PUKEIvOHE, Friday. An average yarding of horses was offered to-day at Messrs. Alfred Buckland and Sons' fortnightly Pukckohe horse sale, and there was a good attendance of buyers. The demand is still strong for all good working sorts and velues were even firmer than at the last sale. The advertised five-year-old medium draught grey stallion sold on account of Mr. W. C. Mcßobbic, of Pokeno, realised 50gs, while an aged medium draught gelding offered by Mr. F. Clark, of Mercer, made £50. Aged medium draughts brought up to £50; three-year-old medium draughts, £31 to £39; ordinary farm horses, £18 to £28 10/; light harness horses, £8 10/ to £1(5; hacks, '£3 to £12; light unbroken two-year-olds, £13 to £25. PRICES AT MORRINSVILLE. MORRINSVILLE, Friday. A feature of the Morrinsville stock sale to-day, conducted by the Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Company, Limited, was the marked advance on last week's rates for prime beef. The entry included fat cattle from the recent Morrinsville A. and P. Show on account of well-known farmers, the top price being £14 15/. Cow and heifer beef was in plentiful supply, and this section also included prize cattle from the show. Boner cows and potter bulls sold at late quotations. There was brisk competition for yearling Polled Angus steers and heifers. Beef.—Heavy prime steers, £13 17/6 to £14 15/; medium, £12 7/0 to £13; light, £10 17/6 to £11 12/6; heavy P.A. cows, £9 10/ to £10 10/; medium, £8 5/ to £8 15/; light, £7 12/6 to £7 15/; heavy prime heifers, £8 to £i) 5/; fat cows and heifers, £5 15/ to £6 10/; lighter, £3 18/ to £5 8/; forward and billable cows, £2 16/ to £3 14/; heavy boners, £2 2/ to £3 4/; lighter, 28/ to £1 1!)/; potter-bulls, £C 2/6 to £7 11/; lighter, £3 17/6 to £5 15/; yearling P.A. steers, £4 7/6; yearling heifers, £2 19/. y Fat Sheep.—Light fat wethers, 22/6 to 23/; fat ewes, 15/ to 15/6; prime fat lambs, 24/2 to 25/; medium fat lambs, 22/5 to 23/6; billable, 18/ to 20/.
Store Lambs.—White face store woolly lambs, 22/ to 22/3; shorn white face lambs, 21/ to 21/8; m.s. woolly lambs, 14/4 to 16/; shorn lambs, 14/3 to 15/3.
