Mrs. Pirie and Miss Pirie, of Canada, who have been the guests of Mrs. Kenneth Myers, of Glendowie, leave this week for the East, prior to returning to Canada.

Miss Marjory Willcocks, who is well known in amateur theatrical and musical circles in Wellington, is visiting Auckland, where she will spend several months, proceeding later to Christchurch and Dunedin. Miss Willcocks wis deputy-chairman of the junior branch of the Navy League, was on the committee of the New Zealand Women Writers- and Artists' Society, a member of the Repertory Theatre, and of its ladies' auxiliary, a member of the Thespians and of the original compositions group of the British Music Society.

Mrs. R. G. Coats, superintendent of the Maori Mothers' Union, left for a tour of the northern districts this morning, accompanied by Mrs. Maungatai Babbington, of the Orakei branch. They will be visiting Naumai, Dargaville, Waimamaku, Whirinaki, Waima, Kaikohe, Kaitaia, Ahipara, Te Kao and Te Hapua, and on the return journey will visit some of the settlements on the eastern coast. The tour is to confirm branches of the union already formed, to meet arid confer with the mothers, and to form new branches where desired. Mrs. Coats and Mrs. Babbington expect to he away from Auckland about a fortnight.
