EXPLANATION ACCEPTED.

RELIEF WORKER'S TRANSFER, An explanation of 111 a tecent action in requesting the transfer of a relief worker on account of his health was given by the Papakura certifying officer, Mr. O. B. McNatty, in a letter which ca.m© before the Papakura Town-Board at its meeting last evening. _ Full particulars of liis action, he said, had not been placed before the board. Prior to writing the letter to which exception had been taken ,he had made a personal call on the clerk and had said that if there was to be any difficulty matters could be left as they were, Tso action on his part could be construed as an encroachment on the boardb authority or the foreman s rights. He desired that amicable relations should exist between the board and himself. _ Tt was decided that the certifying officer be thanked for his letter and that his explanation be accepted.
