RELIGIOUS PLAYS.
SUGGESTION BY BISHOP
Plays of a religious nature, such as "The Passion Play" and "A Saint in a Hurrv," were suggested for production by the Auckland Catholic Repertory Society, by Bishop Liston, when speaking at the annual general meeting of the society last week. A set of rules drawn up by Mr. G. J. Foy for the purpose of incorporating the society was adopted. The election of officers was as follows: Patron, Bishop Liston; vice-patrons, the Hon. C. J. Oarrington, Dr. J. W. Maskell, Dr. R. F. de Boissiere, Messrs. M. J. Moodabe, J. P. O'Connor and G. JBrowne; president, Mr. H. C. McCoy; ! vice-president, Mr. M. M. Flynn; treasurer, Mr. B. Prendergast; secretary, Mr. M. F. Coleman; lion, producer. Miss Ysolinde McVeagh; committee, Father Doyle, Mrs. N. Dunne, Mrs. Sommorville. Miss L. Drysdale, Miss M. Kemble., Miss E. Crecdpn, . Miss X. Ormoml, Miss M. Walsh. Messrs. G. J. Foy, iv. Coleman. H. Wright, F. Sweeney, J. Re id, G. O'Sullivan and T. Meyer.
