THEFT CHARGE.
I YOUNG MAN UNDER ARREST. ■ A young man, Douglas Norton, aged 18, arrested by Plain-Clothes Constable j J. J. Quirke on Friday night, on a charge [ of stealing, on March 3, a suitcase con- , taining clothing of a total value of £15 6/, appeared in the Police Court [ this morning. Sub-Inspector Fox said that probably > a number of other charges would later . be preferred against the accused. Ac- . eordingly, he asked for a remand until [ March 13. i Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., remanded Norton to appear again on March 13.
