THE DAISY.
(By Molly Curtin, 62, Clarence Street, Ponsonhy.) The daisy is a pretty flower, Although it has no smell, It grows among the buttercups lii meadow, field and dell. It often has its petals tinged With pink, and sometimes red, And looks just like a small pink ball When it is closed for bed'. Almost before the sun has risen And rays of warm light shed, The daisy shakes its dewy leaves And lifts its dainty head. All through the drowsy summer day, This wee white flow'ret grows; And not til' birds have gona to rest Doen ii its eyelids close. I
