FUNCTION AT PAPAKURA.
An enjoyable afternoon was spent at the residence of Mrs. H. C. Baulf, Green Street, Papakura, on Thursday by members of the Papakura Women's Parish Association. The function, which was in aid of the association's funds, was a distinct financial success. Competition winners were: Miss Norah Clark, letter competition; Miss B. Cartwright, afternoon tea number; Mrs. W. L. Elliott, guessing competition. Songs were rendered by Miss Julie Williams and Miss N. Clark. During an interval in the proceedings a delicious afternoon tea was served. Among those present were: Mesdames H. C. Baulf, H. Walters (Karaka), Campbell (Drury), G. P. Williams (Opaheke), Knibb, B. Cartwright, W. L. Elliott, C. Renwick, H. Marx (Alfriston), W. Croskery, Paul (Alfriston), Misses J. Williams (Opaheke), N. Clark and Lingard.
