Dahlias and Michaelmas daisies helped to make an attractive setting on Friday afternoon at the New Women's Club when Mr. B. Beckerleg gave the members an excellent impromptu address. After making a survey of the systems of exchange from ancient to modern times and attributing the breakdown of the present monetary system to the fact that every nation is choked with a mass of debt, Mr. Beckerleg stressed the need of keeping a constant, vigilant watch over all put in authority over them.
