CEYLON TEA REPORT.
At the usual weekly sale of Ceylon tea held on the 3rd instant, , the quantity placed under offer amounted to 2,000,0001b. Quality was generally inferior, and the result of the sale showed that Commons and low medium sorts were slightly easier, while others were steady, except tor inferior quality sorts, which showed a generally firm tone. Actual price alterations showed a firm market on Commons and Price Broken Orange Pekoes, a reduction of %d per lb on plain 8.0.P. s, a reduction of per lb on first classic Broken Pekoes, and %d per lb on tiue ; broken Orange Pekoes. Exchange remained unaltered.
