TAVUA TROUBLE.

WORK AS USUAL IN FIJI,

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

SUVA, February 17

The inter-tribal feeling, as- recently displayed at Tavua, is causing no further excitement. Work at the mii.es is proceeding as usual. The police arrested some 40 natives for fighting and causing a disturbance, and the injured are being treated at the Ba Hospital. While some of the Ba men were sent back to their villages by orders of their Roko, other natives from other districts have taken their places, and the mines will soon be fully supplied with all the labour they want.
