KING'S SCHOOL.
.ONTRAGT FOR ADDITIONS. TENDER OF OVER £12,000. Worlc is to begin at once on the ereeion of the new classrooms and donniory block for King's school, Remuera, t was announced to-day. The contract las been let to Mr. A. J. -Good, of Auckand, the tender amounting to more iian £12,000. Designed by Mr. Daniel B. Patterson, jf Auckland, the new building will consist of classrooms for 125 boys, common zooms for the teaching staff and dormi;ories for the boarders. .A central tower ■vill contain further accommodation and .vill afford a magnificent view of the larbour, as well as being a 'conspicuous andmark on the Remuera slope. To be of fire and earthquake resisting material, the building is planned in a way that will give the maximum amount of sunshine and ventilation. . It is to be of two storeys, situated close to the present school building. The classrooms and staff common rooms will be'on the Remuera road level and the dormitories m the first floor. The exterior of the :uilding will be finished with special jrickwork and cement.
