FIVE INJURED.

BTJLEER GORGE SMASH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.* WESTPORT, Sunday. A motor car driven by Mr. Frank Mitchell, with Messrs. Dave Bishop, J. P. Dyce, L. Lorenzen and H. A. Newton, all of Kelson, as passengers, came into collision with Betts' Transport motor lorry near Rocklaiuls in the Buller Gorge this morning when coming through to Westport. An ambulance was sent for and took Messrs. Bishop, Newton and Lorenzen to hospital, Bishop suffering from head injuries and shock, Newton with head and wrist injuries, and Lorenzen head injuries. Messrs. Newton and Lorenzen are out of hospital and about again, but Mr. Bishop is still in hospital but is expected to be out to-morrow. Mr. Mitchell's car was badly /lamaged.
