CHRISTCHURCH, this clay. ; The "Colonies" beat England by 30 points to 17 in the first official broadsiding Test match at Monica Park on Saturday night. The teams were:— England.—Langton, Harrison, Clibbert, Greatrex. ] "Colonies."—Case and Van Praag (Australia), Hobson and Kilmister (New Zealand). , There were eight heEits, of winch Van Praag won three, Kilmister two, Case two and Langton one. In the fourth heat Hobson ran into Harrison, who suffered a broken nose. AUSTRALIA BEATS ENGLAND. ® SYDNEY, February 2. v At the Speedway last evening Australia won the fourth Test against England by j 39 points to 33. Australia's success was , largely due to the Xortli Queensland rider, , Max Cfrosskreutz, who, in liis 30 Tests 1 against England, lias scored 327 points.
