SILVER WEDDING.

ENJOYABLE CELEBRATION PARTY. In celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of their wedding, Mi - , and Mrs. Jules Bernstone, of Kelmarna Avenue, Herne Bay, entertained their relatives and friends at a brilliant social party in the Catholic Women's Leaguo rooms on Saturday evening. Silver bows and streamers were effectively arranged to denote the occasion and a two-tiered wedding cake encircled with trails of silver flowers occupied the centre of the artistically decorated supper tables, which were also- gay with bowls of pink and crimson carnations. Mrs. Bernstone was wearing a handsome black ciro satin and mechlin lace gown and she carried a sheaf of wh'te St. Joseph's lilies with silvered leaves and long silver streamers. Assisting her mother was Miss Jennie Bernstone, who was in a charming frock of pale gold and white 'brocade and carried a bouquet of pale pink sweet peas. Each guest on arrival was presented with a floral tribute—a dainty corsage for tho ladies and a white buttonhole for the men. Unique favours were also presented during the evening and added a further gay note. All the latest dance airs were played by the orchestra, tho grand march being an effective preliminary to the dance programmeEvery detail was admirably earned out to ensure the success of the function and toasts and felicitations in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Bernstone were expressed in time-honoured maimer. Interspersed throughout the dance programme were much appreciated items by Misses Joy Asquitli, Gwentli McNaughton, Messrs. M. Levin and I Stan Asquitli. Among the guests were: Mesdames A. Turner, B.
