COMING-OF-AGE.
A successful coming-of-age party was held in the Anglican Hall, Glen Edeii, in honour of Miss Mary Sinclair. The hall was tastefully decorated with streamers and balloons, and the music was supplied by Mrs. Livingstone, Mr. Haydon, Mr. Kennedy, and Mr. Tait. Mrs. Sinclair received her guests wearing a frock of ice blue art crepe, while the guest of the evening wore pale pink marocain and gold. Toasts Were proposed by Mr. D. J. Pollock and Mr. B. Naden, and Mr. Sinclair presented his daughter with a key. After supper the tables were cleared and over 70 guests joined in dancing and games. Items were given by Mrs. Bredesen, Miss Tait, Miss Corban, Mr. Naden, Mr. McFadden, and Mr. D. Smith. Mr. Backhouse acted as master of ceremonies.
