BROTHERS HURT.
ONE CRITICAL. COLLAPSE OF TANK STAND. BOYS' SEVERE INJURIES. Two small boys were severely injured yesterday afternoon when a timber stand supporting a 400-gallon water tank collapsed and knocked them to the ground at their home in Carter's Road, Oratia. They are Cedobar David Sunde, aged seven, and Robert Sunde, aged two, sons of Mr. Frederick Sunde, orcharditit. The condition of the younger boy to-day is' critical. Playing near the tank when the stand collapsed, the children both suffered head injuries, and the older boy also broke a leg. Severely hurt as they were, they were fortunate to escape further injury from the fall of the heavy tank, which crashed to the ground only a foot or so away from where they fell. It landed with such force that it was badly damaged. - Mr. and Mrs. Sunde were away attending a funeral when the accident happened. An older brother called neighbours to the children's aid, and Dr. R, Robb was summoned. A St. John ambulance took the boys to the Auckland Hospital. The condition of the elder brother is not serious.
