SOCIAL GATHERINGS.

A farewell tea was given to Mrs. Carr by Mrs. Gilford in George Court's tearoom. Amongst the guests were: Mesdames Sherwin, Nudd, Bond, Henson, Sinel, Alfrey, Lancaster and Miiss Gilford. • • • • Mrs. S. A. Singer gave a delightful afternoon at George Court's tearooms to enable her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Martin Singer, to meet some of her friends. The room looked gay with plenty of beautiful flowers. Amongst] the guests were: Mesdamcs Wilkinson,' Stone, Servine, Morrison, Katz, Louis, Davis, Shrimski, Danglow, Yock, J. Gaudin, Ivronfeld, Robinson, Pezaro and Miss Dangalo.
