ON 'CHANGE.

BUSINESS IS FAIR. BANK SHARES SELLING. Though lacking briskness, there has been a fair turnover on the Auckland Stock Exchange over the last 24 hours. At this morning's call banking shares ■were firm and there was a better demand in the insurance section. Among the banks Commercials recovered some of the ground lost earlier in the week and sold 2d higher at IS/8, with a subsequent market IS/7 to 18,9. Commercials of Sydney were again in demand at £13 17/6 without attracting sellers. Nationals of New Zealand improved slightly with a sale at £3 11/ and more wanted at that figure. New Zealands eased 2d with business at 47/0. Buyers for Goldsbrough, Morts moved up to £1 12/9, but holders stood out for 33/0. Auckland Gas shares eased slightly with business at 20/6, a drop of 4d. G. J. Coles failed to hold the full extent of the recent rise and after sales at 73/ and 72/ there were still sellers at the lower figure. Wilsons Cements were very firm and buyers moved up to 45/3 without attracting holders to a declaration. Government 6tocks were steady. Interest in Banks. There was not much business at tha noon call, but bidding was steady, with special attention to the banking section. Holders of Commercials raised their limits to 18/10 and Unions were quoted between £9 14/ and £10.
