THE "ORANGE" TOAST.
A remarkable specimen of Irish glassware has been soid in London. It is an Irish drinking glass, eight inches high, circa 1720. On its cylindrical bucket bpwl there is an engraving of William 111. on horseback. What makes the specimen unique is the Orange toast inscribed on it more fully than on any known glass. The toast reads: "To the Glorious Pious and Immortal Memory of the Great and Good King William, who Freed us from Popes and Popery, Knavery and Slavery, Brass Money and Wooden Shoes, and he who refuses this Toast may be Damned, Crammed and Rammed down the Great Gun of Athlone."
