MADONNA LILIES.
These are ideal subjects for a small garden, as they flourish with little attention; in fact clumps that have been left undisturbed for years often give the best results. When the bulbs begin to work out of the ground, however, it is advisable to divide and replant them in good soil. A good time to do this is when they have done flowering. Large groups create a fine effect in the herbaceous border. They are also desirable to grow for cutting.
