SUMMER SCHOOLS.
PRESBYTESIAN AND METHODIST.
A summer school for Presbyterian Bible class and Sunday school teachers is being held over the holiday season at St. Cuthbert'a College at Epsom, and will conclude on January 2. Lectures on Church history are given each morning by the Rev. J. A. Thompson, and group discussions are held. The afternoons are occupied by organised games, and in the evenings the teachers are addressed on "The Call of Christ to the Disciple." Five summer schools are to be held in various parts of the Dominion during the holidays, under the auspices of the Methodist Bible Class movement. Instruction in religious and educational matters is to be given and social work is also to be continued. Admission is not confined to Methodists. The first school opened at Timaru on Boxing Day, and two others, the first starting on January 1, are to be held at Wesley College, Paerata. The Rev. A. Johnston is the chairman and Miss G. Hewson the organiser.
