BOWLING TOURNEY.
THIRD DAY'S PLAY.
Possible Section Winners—All Sixes Have a Chance.
Bowlers were again favoured with ideal weather conditions for the third clay's play in the annual tournament of the Auckland Bowling Centre. The arrangements are being well carried out and are a credit to the secretary, Mr. George Gladding.
The position at the end of the seventh round is interesting, for it looks as if all winners of six games will go forward to the post-section play. In section A, McLeod (Ponsonby) and Kamsey (Balmoral) have five wins to their credit, and if both of these lose one of the remaining games then, according to the rules of the tourney, all winners of six games will have a further chance. In a recent Christmas tournament no less than 20 rinks took part in the post-sec-tion play. The following winners of seven games can now be looked upon as certainties: — Sinclair (Carlton) M. Walker (Auckland). The following with six games are among the possibilities:— de Launay (Carlton) Torranee (Carlton) Mingins (Epsom) Taylor (Mount Eden) Keatley (Rocky Nook).
