CHRISTMAS TEA.
OPEN DOOR MISSION. Over fifty men, women and children were entertained at a Christmas tea and concert given by the staff of the Open Door Mission, Albert Street, on Monday evening in the mission hall.
The hall was appropriately decorated and Santa Claus was present. The tea was thoroughly enjoyed by all and a very pleasant touch was added when the mothers of the mission presented Sister Elsie with a hand-worked satin cushion as a token of their appreciation of her efforts in helping them during the' year. In a brief address the missioner, Mr. I. A. Pollard, thanked Sister Elsie and the other members of the mission staff and helpers for their loyal support and co-operation at all times and on behalf of the mission wished all present the compliments of the season. A concert programme of Christmas carols and community singing, in which all joined, brought an enjoyable evening to a close.
