FILM ACTRESS' DEATH.
MYSTERIOUS FEATURES,
LOS ANGELES, December 20,
The authorities are busily engaged in an effort to unravel several mysterious aspects of the death of Miss Thelma Todd, the film star, whose body was found in her motor ctfr on Monday, near the cafe in which phe had an interest, on a coastal road north of Santa Monica.
Both alcohol and an alleged weak heart having been ruled out as causes of her death, present theories favour carbon monoxide poisoning.
Detectives are endeavouring to find a "foreign-looking man" with whom it is reported Miss Todd was seen riding in Hollywood 16 hours after the time fixed by physicians as that at which she died.
This information was supplied by Mrs. Roland West, the estranged wife of Miss Todd's partner in the cafe business.
