KING'S TELEGRAM.
PRESIDENT COMPLIMENTED
LONDON, December 20
The King has dispatched the following telegram to Dr. Thomas Masaryk the retiring 85-year-old President oi Czecho-Slovakia:—
"On the occasion of your resignation from the high office of President of the Czecho-Slovak Republic, I desire to express my admiration of the wise and distinguished manner in which you have presided over the destinies of the Repuli/c ever since the day of its birth.
"These great services to Czechoslovakia, which your Excellency now feels obliged to bring to a close, will command the respect and praise of future generations. I beg to express my heartfelt wishes for your health and for your enjoyment of the leisure which you have. so truly earned."
