Sir George Elliot, returned to Auckland from the South by this morning's Limited.
Mr. F. W. Doidge returned from Rotorua with Mrs. Doidge this morning for the holiday season.
Mr. W. Wallace, chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, is due back from Wellington to-morrow.
Dr. S. K. Phillips, of the Broadcasting Board returned from the South by the Limited tills morning.
Sir James Grose, general manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, was a passenger from the South by the Limited this morning.
Flying-Officer F. R. Newell, New Ply- \ mouth, of the reserve of Air Force officers, returned to New Zealand by the Strathaird yesterday with, his wife and Ohild - " ~, *. Mr. A. M. Williams, news editor t>t the "Rand Daily Mail," is visiting Ohristchurch. He is a New Zealander, aiKl formerly heid positions on eeveral New Zealand papers. Mr. A. F. Myall, of Carmichael and Company, returned to New Zealand after a visit to Australia, America and the Continent by the Strathaird yesterday. He was accompanied by Mrs. Myall. Mr. William Watters, L.R.S.M., of Wanganui and Palmerston North, has been appointed vocal adjudicator for the New Zealand National Eisteddfod to be held in Wellington in May.
