TRAVEL CLUB LUNCHEON.

The Auckland Travel Club held its final luncheon for the year in the Milne and Choyce reception hall yesterday. Christmas decorations.adorned the walls and a Christmas tree, Santa Clatis and liners in miniature occupieid the stage. The members and ,guests were welcomd by the president, the Hon. Eliot Davis, M.L.C., who introduced Mr. W. E. Barnard, M.P. Mr. Barnard gave a short address, and a talk on adventures in the East was given by Mr. Carl Shreeve, an American artist and traveller. At the beginning of the function songs were sung by Miss Ida Walker, accompanied by Miss I. McKinnou. Jhe director, Mrs. Victor Macky, cut the Christmas cake. The guests of honour included Mrs. W. E. C -Barnard (Napier), Mrs. Julie Rapke, ex-president of the Victorian I Women's Citizens' Movement, hon. secretary of the Australian Women's Pan'Pacifie Committee! and vice-president of the Australian .'Federation of Women, Miss Betty Rapke (Melbourne), Miss Betty Leigh (England), Miss M. Powis (London), Mr. and Mr*. J. Moss (Sydney), Miss E. Christie rNelson), Miss M. Collins (Townsville), Mr. and Mrs. Watson (San Francisco).
