MEN'S FORTUNATE ESCAPE. CAR'S PLUNCE INTO CREEK. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, this day. ■ A narrow escape from serious injuries was experienced by four young men at Pukekohe about 11 o'clock hist night, when a iive-seater sedaii car driven by Mr. Brian Hyhunl, of Onewhero, failed to negotiate a steep bend at the junction of Seddon Street and Paerata Road. The four young men, including the owner of the car, Mr. Howard Andrews, of Onewhero, were going to a dance at Drury when the car failed to round the bend, crashed through a fence, and dropped over a 2.3 ft bank into a small creek, the car coining to rest on its side in the bed of the creek. All the occupants escaped with a shaking and a wetting.
