"WHITE HORSE INN."
MUSICAL PLAY FOR CHRISTMAS. The stage spectacle " White Horse Inn will commence its New Zealand season at the matinee on Boxing Day. This show, with its 15 scenes, 27 features, dancing and spectacle, will use the first time in the Dominion the new revolving stage. The play should provide ideal entertainment for children. Its features include an elaborate innsoene, arrival of the tourist steamboat, comic cows, a mountain top, and bathing girls, all set off by excellent lighting effects and costumes. A feature of the play is its wonderful rainstormsaid to be the last word in realism. Within the-last three months this production has broken many box offic> records in Australia, including those standing in Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth, where over 500,000 people saw the production. The play ran for 20 nights in Brisbane, for 22 nights in Perth, and a similar number of performances in Adelaide, eclipsing even the figures attained by " Rose Marie." It is expected that the revolving stage will be in position at His Majesty's Theatre before the week-end. Sixty people are already employed at the theatre on 6tage, wardrobe, and scenic arrangements. Over 100 people will arrive by the Monowai on Monday from Sydney to take part in the -"oduction. All stage equipment is now located at the theatre. Box plans are 1 now open at Lewis Eady, Ltd.
