HOMEWARD BOUND.

THE YACHT NGATAKI. ISLANDS CRUISE ENDING. DUE HERE BY CHRISTMAS. After a cruise of several months in the Pacific, the Auckland yacht Ngataki is now homeward bound, having cleared I Nukualofa on December 8. Captain Holm, of the motor ship Port Whangarei, which arrived from Nukualofa this morning with a cargo of fruit, said that the Ngataki's crew had asked the postmaster there to send word to Auckland by the first ship that called that they were leaving there for their home port. They might, however, although they did not- say so, call on their way at Sunday Island.

On her present cruise the Ngataki, witli Mr. J. W. Wray, the owner, in command, accompanied b'y Messrs. A. Coleblook, J. Baxter and A. Mathias, loft Auckland on August 8, called at Great Barrier Island and sailed from there on August 14. Four days later the yacht arrived off Sunday Island, where, on a previous cruise, she had landed Messrs. A. Bacon, K. Randell and B. Robinson, who have settled there. Finding them "all well," the Ngataki then sailed for Papeete, via Rurutu, arriving at the capital of Tahiti on September 17. From Papeete she went to Moorea, Bora Bora and Nine, and she cleared the last-named port on October 28 for Fiji and Tonga. Her crew hope to be back in Auckland for Christinas.
