The number of 1 dependents affected byoutdoor relief at the present time will bring the aggregate of recipients of the cash bonus to 28,000. These are the official estimates as submitted to the Minister of Health, Mr. Eraser, by officers of the 45 hospital and charitable aid boards operating in New Zealand. The 17,000 others are dependents directly affected by the granting of outdoor relief by the boards concerned, and as such those recipients will be entitled. under the scheme of distribution to receive 5/ each.
