"EXCEEDINGLY PLEASED."

REOPENING OF COLLEGE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUX 111 DIX, this day. "We are exceedingly pleased," said Mr. J. Wallace, chairman of the Otago Education Board, when asked to comment on the decision to reopen the Dunedin Training College. "The new Minister has been kind enough to advise me of his intention," added Sir. Wallace. The board having full confidence that the Minister would honour his promise, has already made arrangements for the staffing and reopening of the college by March. Mr. Wallace said there would be nothing lacking on the board J s part to have everything in readiness for the assembling of students by mid-February. The Mayor, the Rev. E. T. Cox, commented that the announcement of the reopening of the college would be very welcome news to all those who for so long had been advocating it. It was a wise step.
