INTOXICATED MOTORIST.

Arrested on Saturday afternoon on a charge of being in a state of intoxication while in charge of his motor car in Ivhyber Pass Road, Edwin Hunter Peters, aged 31, motor driver, appeared in the Police Court to-day and pleaded guilty. Sub-Inspector Scott said the car nearly collided with a youth on a cycle near the intersection of Wakefield and Symonds Streets. The youth had to pull into the kerb to avoid a collision. Later defendant was arrested in Khyber Pass, when he was found to be definitely intoxicated. ; Mr. Terry said defendant had been ; suffering from a stomach disorder during the week.
