Appendix Operation on Wife With Pocket-Knife. DOCTOR'S FEES TOO HIGH. (Received 10.30 a.m.) CAPETOWN, December 11. Because the doctor's charge was too high a native at Middelburg, Transvaal, was induced to remove his wife's appendix. The native bound his wife and used his pocket-knife in the operation and sewed the wound with liair from a horse's tail. His employer summoned a doctor, who declared that the wound was healthy. The woman returned to | her work to-day after a week in bed. i
