COLONIAL SERVICE.
NEW ZEALAND ASPIRANTS.
Applicants from New Zealand for appointment to the Imperial Colonial Service were interviewed before the New Zealand Central Board of Selection for Colonial Appointments in Wellington recently. His Excellency the GovernorG'eneral, as chairman of the board, presided.
It is probable that the recommendations of the board will not be announced until next April, as although the New Zealand body recommends it has hot power to appoint. Before appointments can be made the recommendations must be forwarded to the Secretary of State for the Colonies for his approval.
