EXAM. FRAUD.
Air Fan Destroys Professor's
Impersonation.
MOUSTACHE BLOWN OFF. (Received 2 p.m.) CALCUTTA, December 4. A wayward' moustache and an unhappily placed fan revealed the fact that Professor Gupta, of Ripon College, was impersonating a pupil at the B.A. examinations. As a result, he was sentenced to six months' imprisonment on charges of fraud. His occupation of the wrong seat emphasised the suspiciousness of dark glasses. Observers noticed that the fan above the professor's head was gently removing his moustache. When one side became detached, the professor lost confidence and bolted. He was chased and caiight, by which time he had no moustache left.
The pupil was acquitted on a charge of abetting the deception.
