A cheque for £25 was received by the Waikato Land Settlement Society on Tuesday from Sir Kobert Anderson, of Invurcarglll. In a letter to (lie honorary manager, Mr. D. V. Bryant, Sir Kobert stated tliat ho forwarde I the gift In recognition of the woDderful work tlie society was doing. The call to the Rev. J. Lilburne, of Whakatane, to take charge of the Hamilton fit,st Pre.sbyierir.il Church, which has been vacant since March, was sustained at a meeting of (he Waikato Tresbytery yesterdny, and the induction will take place on February 3.
