DEBATING SOCIETY'S PLAY.

PRODUCTION AT PAPATOETOE. The comedy, "Are You a Mason?" was presented before a crowded audience in the Central Theatre, Papatoetoe, last evening by the Papatoetoe Literary, Dramatic and Debating Society. The characters were very ably portrayed by Misses Margaret McFarland, Mabel Bryant, Gwen Holmes, Helen Wilson, Gwen Leonard, Isobel Holmes, Nancy Leonard, and Messrs. L. Smytheman, N. Hicks, E. Burton, M. French, G. Mahon and S. Snelling. During the intervals piano solos were played by Miss 11. Burnside.

The success of the evening was duo in no small measure to the efforts of the president of the society, Mr. C. J. Mahon, wKcr produced and directed the play, and also to Miss G. Sutton, Mr. E. H. Burton and Mr. N. Mahon. An unrehearsed inci. dent took place at the final curtain when beautiful bouquets were sent up on to the stage by Mrs. J. Daisley and -Mrs. V. Hill.
