TEA REPORT.
COLOMBO AND CALCUTTA. At tile usual weekly sale of Ceylon tea held at Colombo on the 3rd instant 2,.TOO,00011) was placcd under offer. Quality of most sorts was generally unchanged, although some were rather brighter, while others had a good selection of coloury liquors. The result of the sale showed that medium and good sorts were firm, but rather dearer, others were irregular and slightly easier. Actual price alterations showed a firm market 011 commons, Price Broken Orange Pokofeo and plain 8.0.P.'5; first classic Broken Pekoes and fine Broken Orange Pekoes advanced Vid per lb. Next week's sale is expected to total 2,125,0001b. A report on the Calcutta sale held on the 2nd instant showed that the quantity under offer on that date amounted to 2,200,0001b weight. Quality was well maintained, and the result of the sale showed that commons and low mediums were firm, ivhile others were irregular.
