The account in the "Star" of the won*"' deputation to the Mayor of Auckland make* refreshing reading, as showing that women .are at hist rdusin-r themselves to claim their.n e ful heritage of citizenship. Too long has discrimination ruled regarding the / Lclaim for sustenance during periods of i" ployment. Seeing that the law demands tw women be equally taxed with men in P 1 ° the wherewithal'to resist those in this OT w tunate position, is it not natural they claim sustenance as their due when f°"» a ~ like circumstances? According to P ubl !fL figures women have contributed over a nil ' pounds in unemployment taxation; tneu i expect our women and girls to be satisiiea but meagre help doled out in the torn) charity? "Women of vision must de l>'° ie ;<,,,• suggestion that our future mothers of_ tw r ■ should develop the charity complex; it i fore behoves women of all ranks to this wrong shall cease.
