WANGANUI TRACK.

FEILDING CANDIDATES. PROSPECTS OP MIDIAN. SPIRAL AND RUST. Since returning from Trentham Midian has not been given much work of a serious nature, but he ie looking bright and well. With a fast gallop or two he should be in excellent fettle for his engagements at Feilding, where on the first day he figures in the Kiwitea Handicap with 0.3. ' An addition to W. H. Dwyer's stable is a f ull-eister to Catalogue. - She .is a three-year-old that has. not yet raced, but appears to havo done a fair amount of work. The Lord Qiiex filly is a good looking sort, and if she trains on all right should prove useful. .. Rust has not raced since returning from Auckland, but has been' kept going steadily in view of the. Feilding meeting. The Lysander mare is to -run-in- the Cup next Saturday week, and with 7.13 she should give a good account of herself. Yesterday morning' Rust and Entail were associated in a good working gallop over seven furlongs. Both moved very freely, and were anxious to increase the pace, the journey occupying 1.34. Entail appears to be gradually coming more solid, and the son of Posterity should strip very fit at Woodville, where lie is to have his next outing. With a race there Entail will be still further improved, and all going well in the interim he is likely to make his presence felt in the Great Northern Derby, as the Ellerslie course suits this long-strider. Collodion has gone on the right way since winning at Waverley, and the way he has been galloping recently suggests that he will not be long in adding to his winning record. The big son of Colossus is to run in the five-furlong hack race at Levin on Saturday, and with 8.4 on his back should be hard to beat. Yesterday morning Coi'odion and Spiral were companions in a five-furjong spin, but they were not asked to do their best. Spira] had the better of it, running the distance in 1.3% on No. 1 track, but both were going along very well. Spiral is looking in fine shape, and should make things interesting in the sprint events at Feilding. The racing there will liven up the son of Limond for the Auckland meeting, at which, all going well, he will be a runner in the Cup. The Image ie not engaged at Levin, but will be seen out at Feilding. She has built np, and looks more solid than she. did at Wanganui. AH Spirit was a bit sore at Bulls, and has not been on the track recently. Imposture did no good at Trentham, where the state of the going was against her; The Posterity filly is furnishing into a real good looker, and she.should show that sue knows how to gallop' at Feilding next Saturday week. \ Moquette will not be seen out again until she takes her place in the Great Northern-Foal Stakes. The Limond filly is getting, through her preparation in pleasing, style, and she should make a bold showing in her "races at Ellcrelie.
